You can book your classes directly online via our website. Simply select your activity from the activities page, then choose the participants’ skill level and your preferred dates. Next, click “Book.” A window will appear for you to enter the participants’ details; once completed, you will be prompted to pay for your booking.

Payment is made securely on our website at the time of booking. We accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Yes. Our booking system allows you to select multiple participants for a class or activity at our school. Once you have selected the desired level and dates, simply click “Book,” and you will be able to enter the participants’ details.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during school holidays and peak periods. This ensures a wider choice of dates, times, and course types.

At ESi Vars, children can discover the joys of skiing as early as age three. Using a fun, age-appropriate teaching approach, our instructors guide them every step of the way. The initial sessions are designed to help them get comfortable with the snow, learn the basics of balance, and build confidence all while having fun. Each child progresses at their own pace, ensuring a positive and motivating first experience on the slopes.

The choice of group depends primarily on your child’s age and skiing ability. When booking, you can select the level that best matches their experience—whether they are discovering the snow for the first time or are already at a more advanced level. If you are unsure, the ESi Vars team is here to help and can offer advice before you sign up. If necessary, our instructors can also move a child to a more suitable group at the start of the week. This ensures optimal progress and learning under the best possible conditions.

At ESi Vars, learning to ski is based on a progressive, personalized, and friendly approach. Our instructors tailor their teaching to each student’s age, skill level, and goals, fostering confident progress. With small group sizes and a variety of exercises, skiers develop their technique at their own pace while enjoying their time on the slopes. The aim is to help everyone gain independence, improve their control, and make the most of the Vars ski area.

To ensure your child gets the most out of their session, please dress them warmly. We recommend suitable ski wear, waterproof gloves, a hat or helmet, and goggles or sunglasses, depending on the weather conditions.

Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended for all children. Please also provide a lift pass if required for the lesson, as well as a small snack or a water bottle if requested by the ESi Vars team.

Finally, please ensure that ski equipment is the right size and correctly adjusted to guarantee both comfort and safety.

If the children’s ski area is located within the resort itself, no lift pass is required. Once the child is able to ski independently, the instructor will let you know the day before they move out of the beginners’ area so that you can purchase a pass for the remainder of the week.

Don’t panic; the instructor is a professional accustomed to these situations, so you should:

• leave the child in the instructor’s care at the meeting point and avoid staying with them for too long.
• avoid letting the child see you.
• avoid contact until the lesson is over.

At ESi Vars, group lessons are organized in small groups to ensure high-quality instruction and personalized attention. “Souris” groups (ages 4 to 6) are limited to a maximum of 7 children, while other group ski lessons accommodate up to 9 participants. Beginner group snowboard lessons are limited to a maximum of 7 students. These small class sizes allow each instructor to effectively guide students, foster their progress, and maintain a friendly atmosphere throughout the week.

Regardless of weather conditions, lessons will take place as long as the ski lifts are open.

Note: In bad weather, please dress yourself and/or your children accordingly.

Yes. ESi Vars instructors can conduct lessons in French, English, Spanish, and Italian. If you would like your lessons in one of these languages, please specify this when booking. We will do our best to provide an instructor who meets your request, subject to availability.

Yes, because the lift pass is not included with the purchase of ski lessons. You need to buy a pass at the resort’s lift ticket offices. Some ski schools have agreements in place and can offer passes at preferential rates; be sure to ask about this.

Yes, liability insurance is mandatory to cover on-piste and off-piste rescue services in the event of an accident or illness.

It is best to visit the office the day before lessons begin so that the administrative staff can provide the children’s bibs and verify or confirm your registration.

Each ski school has its own organizational setup, details of which are provided to you before your arrival.
